Walking a high ridge is about as much fun as it gets when out in the local wilderness. Around here there are not too many places where one can walk a ridge, but Dartmoor has a couple of gems.

Greator Rocks are a superb detour on any walk in and around the Hound Tor / Haytor part of the moor. I think Most people simple walk past them. Not so with us, and the children love the adventure, the sense of (mild) peril, being high up on the granite.
